Broadcast Engineering Projects

These are some of the more tangible projects that I am most proud of accomplishing as a Broadcast Production Specialist.

ASU-TV Mobile Production Unit

Designed and executed building a new Mobile Production Unit to be used for High School sports and local events. Maintained a budget, suggested purchases, generated 3D CAD models of the layout, planned out wiring diagrams, built necessary components and cables, and installed equipment according to the plans. This 24’ Remote Production Trailer was completed Summer 2021.

COVID-19 Preliminary Production Protocols

Adapted to productions during the pandemic by reconfiguring control rooms, drafting a handbook of standard operating procedures, and instituting additional cleaning and safety measures. Also researched and installed additional cost-effective equipment that allowed instructors with health concerns to teach production based classes remotely.

A-State SMJ Equipment Room Inventory

Replaced outdated and overpriced software with a more comprehensive and user-friendly software of my own design on a temporary basis. After using this for a year, we were able to see what features we liked and were able to settle on a new software after much research. This inventory system is now being used to catalog and maintain all broadcast equipment for SMJ as well as the ENG equipment for our students to checkout.
